User Experience Updates
We've released a set of features focused on improving the onboarding experience. Sharing your successful recipes is now more powerful than ever, and new users will find it easier to get started.
New Features
Save Shared Mixtures & Schedules
Previously, viewing a shared link was view only, now you can save these shared items into your own collection.
Try it out by clicking here!
- One-Click Import: If you are logged in, you can now save any shared Mixture or Feed Schedule directly to your library with a single click.
- Smart Dependency Handling: The system automatically imports any custom substances, water profiles, or nutrient targets used in the shared item, ensuring the recipe works exactly as intended in your account.
- Privacy: Any duplicated custom items do not come with descriptions, URLs, or any shelf data, making it easier to share your mixtures.
Improved Empty States
We know that staring at a blank screen can be intimidating. We've updated the "Empty State" experience for new users:
- Shelf: If your inventory is empty, you'll now see a helpful prompt guiding you to the Substances library to start stocking up.
- Mixtures: The mixtures list now encourages you to create your first mixture if none exist.
These changes are part of our ongoing effort to make Hydro-Calc easier to use.
Bug fixes
- Fixed issue where items loaded into the mixture editor would be loaded in the individual editor, like Water Qualities or Nutrient Targets.
- Fixed issue with changing feed schedule names on edit.
- Fixed issue with Shelf loading substances when the user had more than 40 substances on the shelf.
